Theft
or Larceny is the taking of someone else's property without the owner's
consent, and with the intent to temporarily or permanently deprive the
owner of that property. There are two forms of theft; petit theft
and grand theft. Petit theft constitutes the value of property
less that $300.00 (three hundred dollars). Grand theft involves
the value of a property over $300.00 (three hundred dollars). Petit
theft is considered a misdemeanor, meaning it is punishable for up to a
year in jail. Grand theft, on the other hand, is considered a
felony, punishable by more than a year in jail! Contact Adams & Conan, P.A. for your FREE CONSULTATION regarding your charge of Burglary, Theft, Larceny, and or Shoplifiting! |
